"We are long on membership but short on discipleship. We are more anxious to gather statistics than to grow saints."
Vance Havner
"Nothing can be rightly known, if God be not known; nor is any study well managed, nor to any great purpose, if God is not studied. We know little of the creature, till we know it as it stands related to the Creator..."
Richard Baxter
"Experience will teach, that men are not made learned or wise without hard study, and unwearied labour and experience."
Richard Baxter
One of our five priorities is Discipleship and Sunday Morning Adult
Bible Study is the primary way we seek to accomplish that. Our
congregation is strongly encouraged to make this hour a priority in
their life as we consider this a signficant means to our sanctification.
Its never too late to join any of these classes, so we hope to see you
this week.
As is our normal practice we try to have one class which goes
through a book of the bible or a corpus (ex. Hebrews, Joshua, The
Pentateuch). Another class is designed to be more practical and
thematic (ex. raising children, finances, marriage). And the third class
is generally more basic and foundational (ex. Basics of the faith,
Becoming a member of the church)
